Josie is a harlequin appaloosa daughter of Apache Gentleman. Apache's pedigree is packed with appaloosas-- top and bottom. He is the prepotent harlequin herdsire in the United States with 42 register offspring of which the majority are either harlequin, leopard or classic appaloosa. Josie is the most recent of his Champion offspring to show up in the show ring. Josie's dam, Derwydd Manchu's Suyana, brings elite fleece and a classy phenotype to the pairing. Suyana is 5/8 Accoyo and a 5-time banner winner. Suyana's sire, Derwydd El Nino's Accoyo Manchu is a full Accoyo and 8-time champion. Josie is rockin' the pattern and elite-fleeced genetics proven to produce dense, uniform, fine fleeces. UPDATE: Josie made her in ring show debut at the dual California shows October 2023. She color checked and showed as rose grey in both shows taking 1st place in her classes and going on to be award Grey Color Champion at the Gold Country Gathering Show and Reserve Grey Color Champion at the California Classic the following day.
