Rare Gem In The SPOTlight
In The SPOTlight is sired by Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-ia. Taupie is a highly expressive harlequin stud that boasts a heritage of appaloosa genetics on both sides of his lineage with Aussie Rockford out of Hannahruh on his sire's side and Chiquita Import on his dam's side. SPOTlight's dam, "Faith", is a vicuna pattern girl known for her dense, but fine fleece with substantial character and nice handle. Faith is part of the Rare Gem Foundation herd. Her first cria was a beautiful uniquely colored harlequin and now this gorgeous appaloosa girl. SPOTlight competed in her first show May 2018. Her fleece was entered in the Appaloosa class, but color check moved her to Light Rose Grey. I consider SPOTlight to be a classic appaloosa phenotypically... but you never know what is going to happen at color check with these unique ones! SPOTlight placed 3 out of 8 in the Light Rose Grey class. The same fleece has been entered in the 2018 National Fleece Conference and PAOBA. Stay tuned... :-)
